Windows: run the installer (no administrator needed). If Windows shows “Windows protected your PC”, choose More info → Run anyway — the app is new and not yet code-signed. Tick “Allow on my home network” so your phone can reach it (Private networks only).
Open DeviceMirror and click Pair iPhone. A QR code appears.
In the DeviceMirror iPhone app, tap Pair with your PC, scan the code, then start the screen broadcast from Control Center. Your screen appears in the frame on the PC.

• Your screen goes straight from your phone to your own PC — no cloud, no account, nothing sent to me.
• Encrypted with TLS 1.3, and your phone only talks to the PC it was paired with (QR pairing with a pinned certificate and a secret key).
• Nobody else on the same Wi-Fi can send video to your PC or see your screen.
• The firewall rule it offers is limited to your home/office (Private) network and this app only.
• Every download is built automatically on GitHub and scanned with Microsoft Defender before it is published.
